Food Systems Financial Intelligence

Know where to invest.Build a more resilient food system.

Food Systems Financial Intelligence helps the Government of Rwanda and its development partners see how to allocate funds across the food system. It supports setting national goals and improving overall food system outcomes.

For Rwanda, FSFI works with 37 indicators grouped in 8 components. Stronger, better-targeted allocation across these areas supports food systems resilience and leaves the country less exposed when shocks arrive.

What FSFI helps you do

Stress scores (FSFSI)

Run the index by fiscal year across 37 indicators and 8 components. You see gaps, stress, and damage that adds up over time. Each run is saved. Pick hybrid, expert, financial, network, or equal weighting. The audited Rust engine does the math.

Mapped budgets

See agriculture-related spending on the same indicators, from FY 2018. Yearly totals, how the mix shifts, volatility, and the biggest movers. For budget and economic work. It is not the FSFSI score.

Planning and optimization

Tools for efficiency, reallocation, and ROI. Multi-year plans and MTEF-style outputs. Save plans and try other budgets and splits. Budget alignment uses the same planning rules.

Monitoring

Browse by fiscal year. PSTA 5 alignment. Province and district views when we have the data. Reports and alerts for follow-up.

8 indicator components

Defined for Rwanda's context and aligned with national priorities.
